CRUSADE builds the skills of women, addresses their immediate and emergency needs, empowers them to meet challenges to reach their full potential.

Alleviation of poverty and social transformation
A conscious attempt by CRUSADE to reduce poverty and engage the community in livelihood activities, renovate their dilapidated houses and provide health care.

Enabling the differently abled
CRUSADE connects with people with disability through the formation of groups in the targeted areas. CRUSADE encourages community-wide engagements, provides information on disability and offers opportunities to generate income.

Promoting herbal remedies for minor ailments
CRUSADE attempts to reconnect traditional methods of healthcare in rural areas. CRUSADE educates and trains women in herbal gardening process to enable them to treat minor ailments at home.

Improving health and nutrition
CRUSADE provides health education and conducts village level camps to diagnose diseases such as diabetes and Hyper tensions. Also offers referral, counselling services and runs a Homeopathy clinic.

Creating awareness on better environment
CRUSADE creates awareness on environment protection and climate change in the community through camps, distribution of saplings and educates women and children to be major influences.

Building the capacity of the Panchayat leaders
An initiative of CRUSADE, GSI - Grama Suyasarbu Iyakkam builds the capacity of elected Panchayat Leaders in micro level planning for economic development and social justice.

Community Based Institutions for sustainability
An initiative of CRUSADE, PPI - Pudumai Pengal Iyakkam consisting of 7000 members, enhances the abilities of women and creates opportunities to accelerate their growth.

Providing affordable housing and sanitation
An initiative of CRUSADE, ARH – Action Rural Housing promotes hygienic healthy living for the poor people in rural communities through proper housing.

Way forward
CRUSADE would like to extend its area of operation, keeping its main theme of poverty reduction, directly in adjacent blocks and indirectly through Panchayats in other districts.
